The brain dump: an ADHD mum's favourite five minutes

With an ADHD brain, everything can feel urgent at once: the dentist, the permission slip, the birthday present, the washing that's been in the machine since Tuesday. When it's all swirling, it's hard to start anything.

Empty it out

Grab a pen and set a five-minute timer. Write down every single thing in your head, big or tiny, in no order. Don't sort it, don't judge it.

Pick just three

Now circle three must-dos for today. Only three. Everything else is safe on the paper, so your brain can stop holding it.

Check your energy

Low-energy day? Choose the three easiest. High-energy day? Tackle the one you've been avoiding. Either way, you've made progress, and that counts.
